Our staff training day this week looked forward to next year and the priorities for our school. The new Curriculum for Wales starts in Year 7 in September, and we are at the forefront of schools nationally in being ready to launch. We have been welcoming in colleagues from other schools locally and across the region who are interested in our approach, most recently last week from Cardiff High School. We have received very positive feedback from these visits, which is very pleasing for us all.
We are also working on improving our support to all students so that they can be wholly ready to learn in all aspects of daily life here at MCS. This is so that we can inculcate excellent study habits amongst them for their future success here and beyond. More details will follow about this to you and to students in assemblies this term and at the start of next year. The equipment list will remain unchanged and can be found on our website under Policies and Documents.
We are seeking your views on all aspects of school life as we review and plan for next year. We would appreciate it if you could spend a few minutes giving your feedback via this link. Many thanks.
Sincere thanks to all who attended our Summer Showcase this week - a wonderful event that celebrated the rich and diverse talent that we have amongst our students. It was fantastic to have parents and families back in the building again. The next opportunity is the lower school production, Seussical Jr. Tickets are selling fast - details just below this message. Thank you also to the MCS Friends, who provided refreshments.
We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday for the usual start time of 8.45am, and are particularly looking forward to summer learning in the final week of this term - sports days, the start of new courses, trips and outdoor activities.
