School Councils
The School Council is a democratically elected body comprised of two students from every year group, voted into office by their peers. Every student registered at MCS has the right to vote for a School Council Member each year, and each Council has the ability to co-opt students for special tasks or research.
The School Council plays a leading part in the development of the School. For example, it was instrumental in the planning of our new school building, it was part of the team that designed and introduced our school uniform, and it played a significant part in the appointment of our Headteacher and other staff. The School Council also works alongside the Student Leadership Team to represent students and their range of views in school life to school leaders.
We will share names of School Council members with our school community once they have been elected in the first half-term of the year.
