Year 13
A Level Results Day Thursday, 15th August 2024
Collecting Your Results From School
We hope that you will be pleased with your official grades on Results Day. Your results will be available for collection at School from 9.00am. They will be distributed from the Main Atrium. Sixth Form staff will be available for further advice and guidance about future pathways and university queries.
If you are sending someone to collect your results on your behalf you will need to provide them with a signed letter authorising them to do so on the day. The letter must identify the person collecting the results and contain your full name, date of birth and candidate number.
Away on Results Day?
All students will receive an email communication to their Hwb email address with examination results on Results Day - therefore, if you are unable to collect your results in person, you will need to make arrangements to access your Hwb email address in order to receive your results. We will email your results to you on your Hwb email account from 9.00am. You can log into your email account from the homepage of the Hwb website. Hwb (gov.wales)
Password re-sets to access Hwb email
If you require your Hwb password to be re-set, please contact Mrs Mills before Wednesday 14th August on Sam.Mills@monmouth.schoolsedu.org.uk. Clearly state your name, form and your Hwb username. Passwords will be re-set on Wednesday and you will be notified, ready for Results Day on Thursday.
Year 12
AS Results Day Thursday 15th August
Results Day for Year 12 students is ‘remote’ this year. Please make arrangements to access your Hwb email address in order to receive your results. We will email your results to you on your Hwb School email account from 9.00am. You can log into your Hwb email account from the homepage of the Hwb website: Hwb (gov.wales)
If you require your Hwb password to be re-set, please contact Mrs Mills before Wednesday 14th August on Sam.Mills@monmouth.schoolsedu.org.uk. Clearly state your name, form and your Hwb username. Passwords will be re-set on Wednesday and you will be notified, ready for Results Day on Thursday.
Post Results Advice and Guidance Day at MCS 9.30am – 12.00pm Friday 30th August
An opportunity to discuss your Year 12 results and future pathways with members of the Sixth Form and School Senior Leadership Team, prior to the start of term. Careers Wales will be present to advise on Apprenticeship, Employment and Training opportunities for school leavers. There will be parking available in the bus bay. It is important to take this opportunity so you can receive appropriate advice and guidance about course choices based on your results.
Year 11
GCSE Results and Sixth Form Registration - Thursday, 22nd August 2024
GCSE results will be available for collection from the Main Atrium from 9.00am. If you are sending someone to collect your results on your behalf, you will need to provide them with a signed letter authorising them to do so on the day. The letter must identify the person collecting the results and contain your full name, date of birth and candidate number. Careers Wales will be present to advise and guide Y11 students who will not be returning to the Sixth Form.
Sixth Form Registration will be available on Results Day. You can discuss your GCSE results in person, confirm your place in the Sixth Form and also revise your course choices. This will take place in the Learning Resource Centre. It is important to take this opportunity so you can receive appropriate advice and guidance about course choices based on your results.

Year 12 Uniform
Our uniform policy and list may be found HERE. Please note that the Sixth Form tie has a gold stripe and the MCS skirt had changed for September 2024, which applies to Sixth Form students as well as Lower School.
School Transport
Students living within Monmouthshire who would like to access home-school transport facilities that are provided by the County Council must complete a Post-16 Transport Application Form. This applies to current Y11 students who will be moving to Sixth Form and current Y12 students who will be moving into Y13. Post-16 applications for transport are subject to restrictions. Please visit the MCC website for further details, or contact the Passenger Transport Unit. Please note that Y12/13 bus places are only allocated once Years 7-11 have taken their places. MCC do not guarantee a bus place for Y12/13 students. For enquiries relating to the assessment or eligibility of transport, please contact the Passenger Transport Unit in the first instance.
