Dear Parents and Students
Welcome to Monmouth Comprehensive School
In our school we encourage everyone to have the highest expectations of themselves and each other as together we Learn to Lead our Lives.
We are proud of our students’ academic achievements. Just as importantly, we are a school that cares. We believe that students need to feel comfortable and secure in order to learn and, as a school, we put as much emphasis on creating a supportive and happy environment as we do on academic success. We achieve both.
I look forward to working with you to ensure the very best learning and life for the young people in our care.

News :: INDUSTRIAL ACTION THURSDAY 10 JULY 2014
As you are probably aware from media reports, UNISON and the NUT have balloted their members for industrial action.
The school has been informed that UNISON and the NUT will take strike action on the 10 July 2014
Our school will be open to students in Year 10 and Year 12 on the 10th July.
Normal school transport will be operating on Thursday 10th July to transport students from Year 10 and Year 12 to school.
The Year 10 timetable will be suspended and students will work on their Controlled Assessments for their English GCSE. All students in Year 10 will be engaged with this work during the day.
Year 12 lessons will continue as timetabled with their teachers unless, of course, their teacher is a member of the union taking industrial action.
